Aquaculture valves & projects

Armatec has so far in 2017 delivered more than 600 butterfly valves for seawater service to aquaculture projects in Norway, all executed with double acting pneumatic rack and pinion actuation.

In september, another 200 valves left our facility in Oslo, tested and ready for operation. More than 10% of the valves were delivered as hull valves, with manual override and a DNV-GL certificate for service below sea level. The valves and actuators are both produced according to international standards and are prepared for easy connection with accessories and auxiliaries like direct mounted solenoid valves, limit switch boxes and positioners according to Namur/VDI/VDE standards.

In the near future we stand to deliver another 24 pcs of DN600 & DN700 with DNV-GL certificate to the world’s largest well boat. The actuation package for these hull valves and the remaining system valves are planned further down the line. The supply of these DNV-GL certified valves will allow the semi-completed hull to sail safely from one yard contract to another to complete the building of the world's largest well boat.

In August alone, Armatec was awarded two contracts to deliver a total of 70 pcs manual and actuated butterfly valves for seawater service, confirmed for delivery in December 2017 and January 2018. Armatec has for decades existed, and will for the foreseeable future still remain, as a heavy player in seawater systems.
